Engage in E-tail

Jointly hosted by the Australian Retailer’s Association and the Australian Sporting Goods Association (ASGA), the Engage in E-tail seminar series is designed to get Australian retailers online and aware of the opportunities created by multichannel retailing.

The next seminar will cover mobile commerce and social media for retail. Topics covered will include the growth of internet use and e-commerce on mobile devices, establishing a mobile retail presence, making your website mobile friendly, mobile sites and applications, the growth of social media in retail, and more.

The first seminar occurred on 13 April, 2011 in Melbourne and brought together 150 retailers to hear from online and ecommerce experts such as Quantium, Deals Direct and Google.

Topics discussed included the importance for retailers to engage in the online marketplace, observed changes in online shopping behaviours of Australian consumers, understanding which types of consumers are purchasing online, and methods for establishing and maintaining online competitiveness.
